ICF Systems is a method of constructing both external and internal party walls of buildings. It is classed as an Insulating Concrete Formwork, or to use its more abbreviated term, ICF.
ICF is a simple method of forming a structural wall using ready mixed concrete that is poured into a ready built polystyrene formwork. This formwork is permanent, and stays in place to provide thermal
insulation to the building.
ICF Systems is currently built ‘on-site’ using standard components that are cut to size and dimension by trained installers. ICF Systems Ltd provides its material on a supply basis only. Product is usually ordered by a contractor or client who will then provide fixing services to build the structure. ICF Systems Ltd will provide technical assistance for pre-construction designs and if necessary provide training for the installation contractor.
